Welcome everyone who wished to learn CAD. Feel free to ask any questions. Many of use are beginners and don't have a clue -- so don't be afraid of asking a dumb question. The first thing we will do is decide on what software to concentrate on... then we will move on beginning with the most basic principals.

A recent post on the Solidworks email group was from someone who claimed to have solid
modeled a 57 Chevy. A request for confirmation was met by silence. It is doable. Quit messing with all the low buck packages. If you keep your eye out, you can get an introductory or student I was able to take Unigraphics, SDRC Ideas, and Catia at Macomb and Oakland Community Colleges. I used SolidWorks in an MCC class. MCC is offering SolidWorks classes now.
