Put the blue gel on top of the green lens [ I use a #5 lens to protect my eyes] put the clear lens top of the blue gel and put them both on top of the green lens then put it all back in the goggles . See L/D

locate the panel on the car with clecos or screws.then scribe a cut line at the edge of the panel

Trim to the line leaving 1/4 in. tabs were the clecos or screws go.

I used four tabs on this panel just because it felt right to me, three would have been enough

after relocating the panel on the tabs with clecos, I tacked it in place removed the clecos and cut the tabs with a thin cutoff wheel.

After removing the tabs , I tacked it every 1/2 in. to 1 in. By the look of the tacs I musk have used the mig to tac the panel. tig does a lot nicer job.

after grinding the tops off the tacs then tig welding , hammering & fileing. Still to be finnished.

trace the glass lens on the gel, then cut it out.

there are pics of this in another album but this showes the new sliding removable arm. I use this all the time for doors,fenders,deck lids,gas tanks and anything else that will fit on it. I think this is a must have tool.

masking tape clamp

for welding small hard to clamp parts a little masking tape goes a long way [Note : many metalshapers would have rolled the edge and then welded the end plate so your not welding on the edge.]

I use a little spray tack on my beader radius dies to stop the part from slipping on the first pass

wire straightener

I use a .023 wire for welding, when it comes off the roll it not straight so I made this holder and clamp along with safety wire pliers to twist the wire straight.
